You write because you care about writing and you care about what you write.
I’ve met so many people, heard so many stories that have made me sit up and say WOW. Really! You survived that? How? Genuinely I am in awe. Though of course I never write about them. Their stories are not mine to tell. But what ever you have a gut feeling to write about, then write it!
Trying to decide whether you story idea is a good one or not, is another matter. There is no way of absolutely being sure if the idea is a good one until you try it on for size. Of course, it is said, originality is key, especially if you are trying to sell your story – publishers, agents etc., are generally looking out for fresh ideas that jump off the page. To be frank – being original is hard to do. However, putting a different slant on an age old story is not without merit.
Whatever you do. Please keep writing – and if you’re not happy with it, keep it safely tucked away for another day. It is important, you wrote it after all, so you must have cared about it at some time. I think someone got a bit upset about the title. I’m glad you didn’t. My aim is to ensure the writer knows their subject, rather than just doing a heap of research. Research is great, but it can leave the writing a little cold (this is just a view).
When I initially left a comment I appear to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now whenever a comment
is added I receive 4 emails with the same comment. Perhaps there
is a way you can remove me from that service?

obviously like your web-site but you have to take a look at the
spelling on quite a few of your posts. Many of them are rife with spelling problems and I
in finding it very bothersome to tell the reality nevertheless I’ll certainly come back again.
Oops, spelling mistakes? Apologies! I rarely get the time to proof read because I’m in the midst of writing another novel and that’s taking the priority at the moment. My editor is asking for my galley.
