Release date 21st July 2021!

It’s happening. I still can’t believe it. I’m holding my own novel, Secrets, Shame, and a Shoebox in my hand. A pre-released copy. It looks great!

There are six days to go before the release date of 21st July and my daughter and husband have been fabulous in keeping me focused.

Marketing seems to be the thing for authors these days. Its really not my bag. I prefer to write. But if I really want to get my work out there then I have to work that bit harder to achieve it don’t I? I had arranged to meet my friend in a local coffee shop. She was the one instrumental in getting my novel off to a publisher in the first place, with a ‘do it before you pop your clogs mate!’ So I just had to show her the outcome. Her reaction was so funny when she saw the copy. The child sitting with his mother thought she was having a heart attack . The mother of the child had to explain my friend was perfectly okay, though a little crazy, and whilst my friend calmed down it seemed to have a snowball effect around the shop. The shop owner, the mum, the woman who sat behind us, and said she belonged to a reading group and was keen to know more. I couldn’t believe it. This is the type of marketing only dreams are made of. Not planned, not thought through or acted out, but wonderfully, totally unexpected.

So far I have had a book blast with Duffy the Writer which is fab and out on my social media.

Henry’s cafe and Home have shared on their website.

I’m going on chat and spin radio on Saturday 31st at 2.40.

Whispering stories have reviewed and given me a four star rating.

My book is with Blackwells in the UK and a host of other well known book suppliers including of course Amazon.

I am doing a podcast with Jeny Heckman on Thursday 12 August at 12.30 Greenwich Meantime. Heavens knows how that will turn out.

I would be so grateful for a shout out, a share, or a kind word.

Its been a journey and I’m still on that road. I’m still on the lookout for anyone who wants to share authorial information, the good stuff, not a troll like the other day. This is for people who are budding writers and published authors alike. It seems all it takes is to dream big and do lots of hard work to make it a reality.

Jeny Heckman will be on my blog shortly – an established author and I’m looking forward to hosting her.

Thank you for everything. Your positive vibes, your shares and likes on instagram, twitter, facebook and lynngriffinauthor fb.

I will be back soon with updates and new information if you have any requests.

Howdy! Quick question that's entirely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My blog looks weird when browsing from my apple iphone. I'm trying to find a template or plugin that might be able to correct this problem. If you have any recommendations, please share. Cheers!

Plagiarism happens all the time. Sadly. However, take it as a compliment. If you work is good enough to steal that is. Its interesting when I did a zoom talk the other day I noticed later other people were actually using the same phrases as me. Am I being paranoid? I was a little irritated I confess, but then though positive. If this was their actual thought then fair enough. If not, then they have little to no imagination to steal from me, so therefore a compliment!

What you composed was actually very logical. However, what about this? what if you added a little content? I ain't saying your content isn't solid., however what if you added a post title that makes people desire more? I mean Release date 21st July 2021! – WifeInTheWest is kinda boring. You should look at Yahoo's home page and watch how they create article titles to get people to click. You might add a related video or a related picture or two to get readers excited about what you've written. Just my opinion, it might make your posts a little bit more interesting.
